Life is too short to darken your days with bitterness and resentment.
If you wanted to you could live in misery. Yes I said, if you wanted to you could live in misery.
Why would I start a post like this ?
Because right now there are people reading this post who have chosen to focus on negativity as opposed to the positive things and people in their lives.
This time of year families tend to re-Unite. They come together to enjoy each other, catch up on what has happened since last you gathered and to share memories and experiences.
Memories and experiences. Do you have negative memories or bad experiences that you are still carrying in your backpack (memory bank ) about a family member, friend or coworker ?
Do you ?
There is a teaching that states that until you forgive anyone you feel has done or failed to do something you thought they should have or should not have done you will not being able to free your mind to be available for what this world has for you.
Negativity and unforgiving thoughts block blessings, block creativity and can block advancement.
The only person who can remove the blocks are you.
You have the choice.
Choose to forgive. Choose to set the example for others. Your children, your family, your friends and coworkers are all watching. They pay attention to your responses.
If you are reading my post you are a leader, you are a difference maker and what you do influences many lives.
Use your life for good. Set the example. Choose to forgive.
The choice is yours. Carrying anger, bitterness and Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and hoping it will kill the other person.
Most of the time the other person is unaware of your anger/issue or they don't care.
So forgive them, let the anger over the situation go and live your life with joy. In joy. Bitterness and joy cannot occupy the same space.
Here's to forgiving those who have hurt you and to a peaceful season filled with joy.
