As of today 99 law enforcement officers have lost their lives in the line of duty. The Below 100 Campaign is still in affect. It calls for law enforcement officer to decide every day that today will not be the day the lose their life. "Not today". The bad guys will not win. Driving safely will be my focus. Being safe, arriving to my calls and back home alive will be my goal.
41 officers loss their lives to gunfire so far this year (up 28% from last year) and 35 died in automobile related incidents (down 19% from last year).
Remember if you do not arrive you cannot assist.
Let's all be vigilant and careful in all we do while protecting and serving my fellow citizens.
Please continue to pray for their safety and protection. Every Friday morning at 9am we pray this over the men and women of law enforcement worldwide.

Happy weekend everyone. I hope you had a great one spending time with family and friends. Some of you may have attended a place of worship or spent time meditating or other endeavors to enhance your spiritual life. As you enjoyed the freedom to do so do you ever think of who sacrificed to bring about that freedom to worship? Regardless of your style of worship chances are there was and still is a force that did/does not want you to have the freedom to do so. In my country there is freedom of religion. Today in service I thought of the men and women who fight daily to defend that right. I also prayed for my friends in other countries who have to practice their religion in private, the ones who are persecuted even killed for their beliefs. I prayed for their freedom to worship.
We are all mind, body, and spirit. We have to feed all parts to survive and thrive. We have hunger, eat and function well. We get tired, we rest our bodies and renew our strength. We get discouraged and overwhelmed with all that is expected and required of us and we seek wholeness from our source of strength, our higher power. Some thing more than ourselves. This action renews our spirit man and makes us whole.
This is freedom.
Let's not forget those both worshippers and defenders of freedom that are dying daily and have died to give that right to us.
Have a Safe and Happy week.

Happy Independence Day. I hope this weekend finds you enjoying the weekend with family, friends and neighbors. If you are spending it with colleagues, let's say while working on patrol or in the jails, I pray you have a safe weekend.
Buckle Up and be mindful of impaired drivers. Each and everyone of us has to use some means of transportation to get to our respective place of employment. Be careful and vigilant.
For those partaking in the joy of lighting fireworks Take Care. Many of us live in dry environments and the slightest spark can cause a fire.
I pray we all have a fun and favorable holiday weekend.
