Tis the Season
December is a great month. This year it is filled with many holidays to celebrate. Regardless of which ones or how you celebrate I hope you spend it with family, friends and loved ones. This season is about connecting with the ones we love and spending quality time with people we enjoy. It’s not about presents it is about presence. Your presence. Your actual full attention to the activity and the person you are enjoying the activity with.
I encourage you to take the time to tell those you love that you love them. It is a season of love. And you never know if you will have the opportunity to tell them again. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.
Every celebration that is observed in this season is about appreciation. Gifts are exchanged in most instances. From a child time has always been the greatest gift to me. I love to spend time with my friends, family and loved ones. Just hanging out and doing whatever comes to our mind. It is not about the activity it is about the fellowship. It is about the time taken and given by all involved to be a part of someone else’s life. To be a part of someone else’s experience.
As you are running around preparing for the big gift giving day, think of the greatest gift you can give someone you care for, your time.
The value of time is amazing. Many are dealing with job losses and lack of finances. Time cost you nothing monetarily and when you are no longer in this world and have passed away the people who love you will reflect on the time you spent with them. The gifts are perishable. The memory of the time spent is priceless.
Enjoy your time.
