There are six days until the opening ceremonies of the 2010 48th Annual IAWP Conference in Minneapolis, MN (USA). If you have not done so you should go to the iawp.org Home Page and look at the Country flags display. Look at the flags of the countries who will have delegates in attendance at this years training. Each flag shows how truly international this conference training experience will be. Attendees will walk among and attend classes and events with a diverse group of law enforcement professionals representing the WORLD.
Bring your personal world map and atlas (generally there is one posted near the registration desk) to see where on the globe other members live and have come from in comparison to your trip from your home town. Some participants will travel anywhere from 10 to 24 hours changing many plans and using many modes of transportation to get to this educational opportunity.
Talk about a wise investment in yourself.
If you have not made your plans to come to the conference it is not to late. You may still be able to find reasonable rates for air travel by checking your computer's search engine for last minute travel deals. Conference registration can be done on site and you can even drive in for the conference. If you can only attend one or two days it is still worth the trip. There are daily training rates available. Contact the conference committee for assistance. We want to see you in Minneapolis.
Stay Safe and I hope to see you in Minneapolis.
